Una ricerca storico-narrativa dedicata alla figura di Antonio Pigafetta, il cronista della prima circumnavigazione del globo. Attraverso un’analisi rigorosa di documenti, fonti e indizi spesso trascurati, questo libro propone alcune considerazioni che potrebbero cambiare — o almeno ampliare — l’interpretazione tradizionale della figura di Pigafetta, pur senza modificare la narrazione storica della spedizione magellanica.

L’opera include inoltre la trascrizione integrale del diario originale di Pigafetta, nella sua lingua mista italo-veneta del XVI secolo, offrendo al lettore un raro contatto diretto con una delle testimonianze più importanti della storia della navigazione. Una nuova edizione aggiornata, con traduzione inglese, sarà prossimamente disponibile.

Un romanzo che attraversa le crepe dell’identità contemporanea: personale, sociale e nazionale. Attraverso le storie di persone comuni che cercano una patria possibile — una famiglia, un luogo, una memoria collettiva — emerge un’Italia frammentata, fatta di entusiasmi e ferite, illusioni e resistenze quotidiane.

Nessun personaggio è un eroe e nessuno è un colpevole: ognuno cerca di capire dove appartiene davvero, in un mondo che cambia troppo in fretta. Il romanzo indaga ciò che resta quando le certezze si sgretolano: il coraggio di scegliere, la fragilità dei legami, il bisogno ostinato di trovare un posto che assomigli a “casa”.

La pacifista

La storia di una donna che sceglie la non violenza come modo di stare al mondo, in una realtà che spesso sembra parlare solo il linguaggio del conflitto. Attraverso le sue relazioni, le sue fragilità e le sue scelte quotidiane, il romanzo interroga il significato concreto della parola “pace” nelle nostre vite.

Non un manifesto ideologico, ma un racconto fatto di dettagli, gesti minimi e conseguenze inattese: cosa significa rimanere fedeli a se stessi quando tutto invita al compromesso?

I temi che mi ispirano

Ogni storia è un viaggio nella profondità delle cose: ne emergono memorie, domande, ferite e possibilità nuove. I miei libri cercano proprio questo: il significato che si nasconde oltre la superficie.

Storie vere Racconti che nascono da esperienze reali, incontri e vicende che hanno lasciato un segno.

Storia e memoria Eventi storici riletti come occasioni per capire meglio chi siamo oggi e da dove veniamo.

Comunicazione e incomunicabilità Le parole che uniscono e quelle che feriscono, i silenzi che dicono molto più dei discorsi.

Ricerca interiore (non religiosa) Non cerco il sacro e nemmeno la fede: esploro e ricerco i significati profondi dell’essere umano, le sue domande, le sue contraddizioni, il bisogno di senso che attraversa la vita di tutti.

Società ed economia Le tensioni del nostro tempo, viste attraverso le storie di persone comuni.

Amore nel senso più ampio Non romanticismo leggero, ma l’amore come forza originaria, fragile e decisiva insieme.

Chi sono

Scrivo per necessità, prima ancora che per scelta. Per me la scrittura è un luogo di ricerca: un modo per osservare le persone, le loro storie, i loro conflitti interiori e tutto ciò che, spesso, resta in silenzio.

Il mio percorso è iniziato con un lavoro di ricerca storica dedicato alla prima circumnavigazione del globo compiuta da Antonio Pigafetta. Quell’esplorazione — geografica e umana — mi ha insegnato che la storia non è solo un elenco di fatti, ma un modo per interrogare il presente.

Dalla storia sono passato alla narrativa, la dimensione in cui mi sento più libero. Racconto vicende vere o ispirate alla realtà perché credo che, proprio dentro ciò che accade davvero, si nascondano le verità più profonde: le ferite, le domande, le relazioni complesse, le scelte che lasciano un segno.

I temi che affronto sono quelli che mi accompagnano da sempre: la comunicazione, la memoria, la società, l’economia e — soprattutto — la ricerca interiore. Non appartengo ad alcuna religione e non mi definisco credente, ma sono profondamente interessato al lato spirituale dell’essere umano: alla sua interiorità, al bisogno di significato, a quella parte di noi che tenta, ogni giorno, di capire chi siamo e cosa ci muove. Rispetto tutte le fedi e chi le segue, ma ciò che cerco nei miei scritti non è una verità rivelata: è una verità che si costruisce vivendo.

Non scrivo per intrattenere, ma per condividere uno sguardo. Per provare, insieme al lettore, a trovare ciò che resta quando svaniscono le apparenze. Per dare voce a ciò che ci attraversa, spesso in silenzio.

Antonio Pigafetta’s Coat

In Search of New Clues and Theories · 2021

A historical and narrative research dedicated to Antonio Pigafetta, the chronicler of the first circumnavigation of the globe. Through a careful analysis of documents, sources and often overlooked details, this book offers considerations that may change — or at least broaden — the traditional interpretation of Pigafetta’s role, while leaving untouched the historical account of Magellan’s expedition.

The work also includes the complete transcription of Pigafetta’s original journal, written in its unique 16th-century blend of Italian and Venetian, giving readers a rare direct encounter with one of the most important testimonies in the history of navigation. A revised edition, including an updated study and an English translation, will be published soon.

Imperfect Homelands

A novel that moves through the fractures of contemporary identity — personal, social and national. Through the intertwined stories of ordinary people trying to belong somewhere — to a family, a place, a collective memory — it portrays a fragmented Italy, made of enthusiasm and wounds, illusions and everyday forms of resistance.

No character is a hero, no one is entirely to blame: each of them searches for a possible homeland in a world that changes too fast. The novel explores what remains when certainties collapse: the courage to choose, the fragility of human bonds, and the persistent need to find a place that can be called “home”.

The Pacifist (Italian edition)

The story of a woman who chooses non-violence as her way of inhabiting the world, in a reality that often seems to speak only the language of conflict. Through her relationships, her vulnerabilities and her everyday decisions, the novel questions the concrete meaning of the word “peace” in our lives.

Not an ideological manifesto, but a narrative built on details, small gestures and unexpected consequences: what does it mean to remain faithful to oneself when everything invites us to compromise?

Every story is a journey into the depth of things: memories, questions, wounds and new possibilities emerge. My books try to follow this path: looking for the meaning hidden beyond the surface.

True stories Narratives rooted in real experiences, encounters and events that have left a mark.

History and memory Historical events revisited as opportunities to understand who we are today and where we come from.

Communication and non-communication Words that connect and words that hurt, the silences that say much more than speeches.

Inner search (not religious) I do not seek the sacred or faith as such; I explore the deeper meanings of the human being, our questions, contradictions and the need for meaning that runs through everyday life.

Society and economy The tensions of our times, viewed through the stories of ordinary people.

Love in the broadest sense Not light romanticism, but love as an original, fragile and decisive force.

About me

I write out of necessity, even before choice. For me, writing is a space of inquiry: a way to observe people, their stories, their inner conflicts, and everything that often remains in silence.

My path began with a work of historical research dedicated to the first circumnavigation of the globe undertaken by Antonio Pigafetta. That exploration — both geographical and human — taught me that history is not just a list of facts, but a way of questioning the present.

From history I moved to fiction, the dimension in which I feel most free. I tell true stories or stories inspired by reality, because I believe that precisely within what truly happens we can find the deepest truths: wounds, questions, complex relationships, choices that leave a mark.

The themes I address are those that have always accompanied me: communication, memory, society, the economy and — above all — inner search. I do not belong to any religion and I do not define myself as a believer, but I am deeply interested in the spiritual side of the human being: our inner life, our need for meaning, that part of us which, every day, tries to understand who we are and what drives us. I respect all faiths and those who follow them, but what I seek in my writing is not a revealed truth — it is a truth that is built by living.

I do not write to entertain, but to share a way of looking at things. To try, together with the reader, to find what remains when appearances fade. To give voice to what moves through us, often in silence.
